Default Some noob question's..

Hello my name is swuaN :P and I have read the forum and have some question's....

What does IMO mean? are their any other words like that used by Guildwars?( example: DOT = dmge over time ).

What is the different's between elite skills and normal skills? I though if u are lvl 12 with swordmanship u can use elite skills but if u are lvl 11 swordmanship ur not able to use them.. Correct me if I'm wrong . And what do they meant by adjacent enemies? All enemies around target I would damage but not the target itself?

Didn't play GW yet, but I want to play it very much ( srry for my bad english :S )

the difference between elite and normal skills is that you can only have one elite skill equiped at a time. i.e. your skill bar of 8 only 1 can be elite.

They can be used when ever you obtain them, there is no level requirement for any skills

For the adjacent enamies question, it depends on the skill. Some say "target and adjacent enamies recieve +x dmg" otheres say "adjacent enamies recieve +x dmg" and some say "When target recieves dmg, adjacent enamies recieve +x dmg"

In the first case your target and all surronding foes recieve the dmg

In the second case all enamies surrounding you recieve the dmg

And in the 3rd case only the foes adjacent to the target recieve the dmg

Hope this was helpful

Unlike regular spells (skills), you can only have 1 (one) elite skill on your 'hotbar' when you do a mission or go into pvp. Normally elite skill often offer benefits where having more than one elite skill available to you would over power your character. So, you can only have 1 elite skill active at any time, but you can certainly have more than one elite skill in your arsenal of skills to choose from. If I remember correctly adjacent damage/effects means adjacent to self unless otherwise noted.

Elite skills are a special set of skills. You can only have one elite skill equipped on your skill bar at a time. This is done in order to prevent abusive combinations that will upset game balance. Otherwise, they work as any other normal skill would -- you could use them at any attribute level and you can use any that are available to either of your two professions.

Adjacent means "next to". In the game, this distance is roughly arm's length. How a skill affects your target versus adjacent enemies depends on the skill description. Mark of Pain deals additional damage to enemies adjacent to your target, but doees not deal the extra damage to the target itself, (at least that is how i understand it to work).
